Please note that Bamburgh First is part of Grace Darling Holidays Ltd (the company). Upon reciept of confirmation you are entered into a binding contract between the holidaymaker and Grace Darling Holidays Ltd.

Making your Booking

Please view our portfolio of unique 5 star cottages and select the cottage that best suits your expectations. Once you are satisfied you have chosen the right one for you and your family click the Check Availability option. Choose the month and date you require and click on the arrival date that is available to view the price. When you are happy with your selections click on Book and fill out the online booking form and proceed to the secure payment details screen.

Other booking options are by phone with one of our trained advisors or you can print a booking form to fill in at home and send to our office along with payment. Please note that the booking will not be guaranteed until payment is recieved.

Provisional bookings can be made and will be held for 2 days until released.

We require a deposit of 25% of the total price to secure your Bamburgh First Holiday. No booking is confirmed until at least this amount has been recieved. The balance is due 8 weeks before the commencment of your holiday. We will send you a reminder.

Bookings made within 8 weeks of the holiday commencement date must be paid in full at time of booking.

Once the booking is confirmed we will send you a booking confirmation with reference number. This will identify your booking for future use. Please check all details on your confirmation are correct.

Payment

We accept payments by cheque, bankers draft, credit and debit cards and cash on arrival for late bookings. Please note that to recover the charges made by the credit card company, we levy a 2% surcharge to all credit card payments. We do not charge for switch or debit card payments.

Arrivals and Departures

Most bookings are taken for a week either from a Friday or Saturday arrival. Short breaks are available on selected dates. The normal arrival time is 16:00pm and we wish for you to be vacated by 10:00am on the day of your departure. Will will contact you before your arrival date to arrange the appropriate key collection information.

 

Directions to your cottage

You will find directions to the cottage printed on your confirmation, which is recieved once a booking has been made. Alternitively you will find directions through a link on the page of each cottage.

 

Electricity, Oil and supply of logs for fires

All of the above are included within the price and are part of our superior service in which we provide to you. As part of a Bamburgh First Holiday we believe your comfort is paramount to us. With this in mind the hot water and heating is at your demand.

 

Linen, Pillows and Duvets

All our beds are made for you on arrival. You will find 5 star luxury linen. 100% Egyptian cotton and of superior quality for your comfort. The duvets are cotton all season duvets . Again our pillows are of great quality with no expense spared. If you have certain bedding requirements please let us know before your arrival and we will endevour to meet your needs.

 

Pets

We only allow dogs to be part of your Bamburgh First Holiday. The first dog is FREE and each dog thereafter is £30. Please see our seperate menu heading for all your dogs needs. 

 

Small Children and Babies

Bamburgh First has a wide selection of cots, highchairs, bed guards, baby baths, stair gates, sterelizers, monitors, baby chairs and all kinds of other accessories. If you like to travel light or just dont have the space to bring something with you then there is no need to worry. Simply state what items and how many you would like at the time of booking or give us a call and we can arrange these to be ready for you upon arrival.

We also provide colouring books, crayons and a whole array of games and childrens DVDs incase of that rainy day

 

Frequently Asked Questions

How much deposit is required?

We require a deposit of 25% of the total price to secure your Bamburgh First Holiday. The remainder is due 8 weeks before the commencment of your holiday. We will send you a reminder.

What if my holiday is in less than 8 weeks time?

If you book your holiday within the 8 weeks of the arrival date then the full amount is required to book and confirm your holiday.

Where and how do I collect the keys?

Most of our cottages have a key box at the front of the property. We will contact you before your arrival date and give you the relevant key code. Once inside you will find a set of keys for your cottage. Please replace the key in the key box and lock using the key code. This then will act as a spare key, just incase.

What happens if I need to cancel my holiday?

If you need to cancel your holiday for whatever reason you must telephone us first followed by written notification.

Who do I contact if any maintenance is required in my cottage while on holiday?

We have a whole team of very skilled registered professionals for all possible issues. So if its your boiler, plumbing issues or just a handy man we will send the right person for the job. Just call our office on 01665 721 332 or out of office hours please call Carolyn Algar on 07754 547 528 and help will be on its way.

Will you clean my cottage while im on holiday?

If you require any amount of cleaning throughout your stay then we will be more than happy to help. Please either call and ask prior to your arrival or call while on holiday. There will be an extra cost per clean.
